I am an Assistant Professor in the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia, and a CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar for 2023-25. I use field and natural experiments to study topics in behavioural, development, and political economy. My current research explores intergroup relations in India, the health and economic effects of psychedelics, and the causes and consequences of religious change.
I received my PhD in Economics from MIT in 2018, and I was a postdoctoral fellow at the briq Institute from 2018-19. I am a faculty affiliate of J-PAL, CEGA, and BREAD.
